The compound called Donna Grazia region included the Castle of Dahr al-Omer, the Wall of Tiberias, the Scottish Hospital and the Ottoman Office.
In 1518 the Turks conquered the land and ruled it until 1918.
In 1600, Dahr Al Omar built the Castle of Omar on a hill (at the top of the street) in order to enable good control of the Sea of Galilee, the Gonzor Valley and the entrance to the city of Tiberias.
In the center of Donna Grazia Street, the horses of Ottoman rule were erected.
In addition, it was built in the same complex as the first mayor of Tiberias Zachi Al-Hadaffe.
Down the street, the Tiberias Hotel was built at the beginning of the 19th century and was the first hotel in the country to offer warm services and water in the room.
From here the Tiberias Hotel in 1898, the Scottish Hospital, which served the residents of Tiberias and the region as well as the Scottish Church.
The parallel street to Donna Grazia Street is named after Mayor of the first city: Al-Hound Street.
Donna Grazia was born as a daughter of the Anesas family as a runner de Luna, or in his Hebrew name Hannah President.
She became known as one of the world’s enriches in the 16th century, all her wealth and ties devoted to saving Jews.

About 30 years ago, there was a meeting in which we discussed the provision of names for the streets of Tiberias, regarding Rah Donna Grazia, a number of ideas were raised, including: The Sultan and more. One of the council members raised Donna Grazia’s name as a lady who was actually a woman with a vision who did not receive her proper honor.
How to get
At the north entrance to Tiberias, from the head of the corner (because there is no sign in the northern entrance), immediately after the traffic to the right, passengers about 50 meters and immediately after the gas station to the right and start the tour from the fortress.
